About Theotokos Light Orphanage
Theotokos Light Orphanage is an Orthodox Christian children's ministry located and registered in Jinja District, Uganda. This organization exists to provide holistic care for orphaned, abandoned, and vulnerable children by meeting both their physical and spiritual needs.
Inspired by the compassion of Jesus Christ and guided by the teachings of the Holy Orthodox Church, we strive to create a loving family where children experience hope, healing, and the joy of knowing God. Everything we do begins and ends with prayer, trusting that Christ is the true builder of this ministry.

To raise children who are spiritually grounded, educated, healthy, confident, and equipped to become compassionate leaders who serve God and their communities.
Our Mission
To provide holistic care for orphaned and vulnerable children while nurturing them in the love, truth, and hope of our Lord Jesus Christ through the life of His Holy Orthodox Church.
Our Orthodox Faith
Our ministry is founded upon the Orthodox Christian faith.
We believe that every child is a sacred gift from God and a living icon of Christ.
Through worship, prayer, Scripture, and participation in the sacramental life of the Church, we seek to guide every child toward a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ.
